1-2 days a week I drive the 914. My commute is from Santa Cruz to San Jose over hwy 17. For those who are not familiar with 17 it is a curvy hiway over the Santa Cruz Mountains. The drive is fun when there is little traffic so I try to miss the regular commte times. Other days I drive a 1998 Audi A4. Good commute car! Sorry no pics.

My commute is from Pittsburg to San Leandro 42 one way. Life is Great in the 914.
I take one of the Rootmobiles, after the Washington State Yacht
I really miss my cars!
Imagine this with a layer of dirt and grime on the outside and dog nose smudges on the windows. That will give you a general idea of what my car usually looks like.

2001 ZRX-1200. Dirty, but no dog nose smudges on the windows.

Toyota Tacoma xtra cab 4x4, not to exciting but nice when the snow starts to fly. Hopefully my teener will be ready and will be my semi-daily driver by next spring.

Oh wait, I don't drive no P.O.S. Ford!
Here it is really! A 1997 M3 sedan. and I've got to say, "ultimate driving machine" is not much of an exageration.

Here is my daily driver.VW GTI VR6 2002

Just me & my teener. The only nose smudges are on the OUTSIDE - lookin in.

Echo 4 times a week and Boxster 1 time a week.
Echo is my favorite daily driver as it is stripped down to 1900 lbs and makes about 115 hp. I'm running 205/50/15 Falkens and Koni suspension. The car is the ultimate suprize car. I often commute Highway 9 in Santa Cruz mountains and it devours twisties almost as good as my 914.
me and my truck or how i like to call it, "the porsche support vehicle" it gets me to and from school, and to and fromthe parts car
Attached image(s)
I drive my 914 daily from San Ramon to Livermore. 18 miles each way, reverse commute. Takes me 20 minutes door to door.
When it rains I take my '89 Chev pickup.
Here is my Porsche Support Vehicle, litterally, since by business is selling Vinyaje Porsches.
By the way I sell the "Support Vehicle" stickers for $10.

Here is my daily driver and support vehicle. Anyone who went to the WCC04 saw it there. Bilstien struts all the way around with front and rear sway bars running 235-55-16 it really handles pretty good.

1992 GTI 8,600 miles, (you read that right!)
Most days it's my Single Speed Mountain Bike, no pics though.

Here's my DD, 2004 LE Miata. I picked this up 2 weeks ago and I already have 1200 mi, my commute is 90 mi round trip. This replaces the '95 I have, with 213,000+ mi. The '95 started making 'strange and expensive noises'.
Attached thumbnail(s)
Here's the interior. The top, seats and door inserts are Azur Blue, otherwise black. The '04 has power everything, door locks, windows, mirrors and factory alarm. The '95 had manual everything.

I drive this every day.. Today, I am taking the Toyota out to get it washed cuz it hasnt been driven in, like, awhile.
Wow, that's awesome, must get great gas mileage....
Dang.. forgot the pic. Its a dork day for me, it seems..

this has been my transporation to work for the last four years. reliable, never breaks down, burns no oil. it's a long commute, 360 inches or something. mileage is great though.

Depending on weather and load requirements...
I drive the Stealth most days.
The van mostly waits for race weekend to tow the teener.
Attached image(s)
I don't have a pic of my shoes...work is 75ft away
If I need to go anywhere I take the teen if it's nice, If not I can usually find some other aircooled car to drive.

My 72 Bahia Red is my main mode of transportation, rain or shine. Once in a great while, I get to drive our (was mine, now hers ) 2004 Santa Fe.
My 72 is scheduled to go into the body shop in the next few weeks for her long over due bare metel repaint. So, for the next 6 months, I'll be behind the wheel of our (was hers, now mine ) '91 Integra.
Honda Civic Station Wagon thing... It's boring as hell but convenient
First car I've ever owned that has hub-caps
Heck... I don't even have pics of the darn thing
Here's mine...
before I get reaquainted with 914's, I was an AMC fan. Always a fan for the underdog I guess. Anyway, my daily driver is a '84 AMC Eagle Wagon 4x4. It has 127K miles on it and still runs great. I get snow at my place in the winter and this thing plows right through it. My wife has an '80 Eagle 'Sport' Wagon as well. These are great cars, too.

Pretty soon I'll be taking the team to work....

Now this is my "ride"....
Attached image(s)
1985 VW DoubleCab 165,000 km H2O cooled. If you need a work truck it might as well be cool.
Ferg,
I'm proud to say that I've never owned anything but a VAP (VW, Audi, Porsche). I use a '96 GTI as a daily, but your A2 is awesome! I actually said 'wow' when I saw it (and I'm alone).
'73-2.0 - Instant fun.

Mine would be this 1998 M3 Convertible.

My daily ride is 1990 Civic Si Hatchback. 227k miles. Soon to have a turbo motor for a little more entertainment.
Since my teener is an inseperable part of my life here is the two together.

last, but certianly not least.
Yeah, that doufus is me.

Most days, this -- midrange torque monster with unbelieveable traction, but the stock suspension is too soft/squirmy.
My roundtrip commute is 50 miles a day, 40 of which is scenic canyon/coastal roads....long drive but it could be worse I guess.
I've got the 4WD LE, but it doesn't look any different. Hauls the kids and their friends much easier than a 914
not much to look at but she's one dependable bitch...

I drive this one most of the time from March until November.....(the teener is not in the rotation yet, still restoring stuff!)....
Attached image(s)
This one I rotate in about twice a week....March thru November....

Bought it brand new, got to see this on the window sticker:
And this is the beater:
It has hupcaps now though (factory stock ones, no spinner hubcaps for me!)
Later,
Tom
Daily driver for past 6 years. Durring that time it has gone from A-stock to Improved, to Prepared, and now Street Modified2. Just when thing were getting fun I have to retire it from daily driver duty. (see my other thread about needing a sedan for work now. )

My daily ride has been to Nome, Alaska and Back.

I too "am chauffeured" (i.e. I take public transportation but at least I drive to the park-n-ride).
But to/from the park-n-ride this is my canyon carver to get me from the mountain top to the highway in style:

04 BMW Z4 when the weather is bad or Snowy here in the winter I will drive the Dodge Ram Quad Cab
Attached image(s)
Along with my 914 I have owned a few BMW's...still have my 2002 (in pieces) an 80's 528i sedan, an E28M5 and now an E34 M5. Bought the E34 with 13K miles in '02 and now have 60K on the clock. I would like to have the E28 back...these M cars were the last of the "hand assembiled at motorsport" breeds. DH

Ye old E28...

My 993 is my daily driver.

'04 BMW 545i - sports suspension, auto
Soon to be '05 Lotus Elise, Saffron Yellow with LSS, hardtop and touring pack...
And one day... maybe just one day... my 914... I gotta get motivated!!!!

Maybe in about six-eight weeks (hopefully by Christmas)
Minus the red interior... looks too... uhh... Ronald McDonald. I chose black instead!
