914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Transmission sealant-

Posted by: PBC914 Jun 17 2012, 06:57 AM

I replaced the transmission cap due to a partially broken ear. In the process I also loosened the intermediate plate.
I am going to clean off the old paper seals.

Question: Could I only use RTV sealant instead of replacing the paper seals between the case and the intermediate plate and the transmission cap?

Thanks!

Overall thickness is what matters.
