I do like the idea of the patches...see what people use them on and get ideas... (shirts, tanks, totes, ties, panties, ect.)

Well the 914 GURL Hat's are being received well, so I'm now thinking about my next creative 914 endeavor.

Would there be enough group interest if I had 3" oval iron-on patches made with a design, maybe like this?

You can't put stickers permenantly on fabric things huh.gif

I'm cool with making new hats too, but thought maybe an iron-on patch might offer some placement flexibility biggrin.gif They are also cheaper to produce and thus cheaper for ya'll to buy.

For the record -- Anything that requires managing different clothing sizes is not on my "A-list" of products to produce.

Like:
- bags/backpacks/totes
- pants/shorts
- shirts
- bandanas
- cloth upholstery
- folding nylon camp/directors chairs
- hats

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BUT if ya'll are game for another hat, I can produce that instead...
I just can't front enough money to produce all the products at one time wacko.gif
Please don't take this wrong. But, I would like to see some original artwork. We've all seen that design so many places already that most of us probably don't know or remember where it originated.
The iron-on kind are purdy simple, but you need a laundry-style iron wink.gif
Basically, you decide on an item made of a material that won't melt when a hot iron is applied to it, and follow the instructions that come with the patch.
No worries. Criticism is part of the creative world wink.gif
I liked the style and I illustrated this one myself using the displayed sample as my model, unlike the GURL hat design which was edited artwork.
Still not original enough huh? huh.gif
I can come up with something different if ya'll would like...
I don't know how they would hold up on a hat, I would think that the edges would start to peel. I think if we went that direction, we would be better sewing the patches on. smile.gif
They can be sewed on instead. Nothing to stop ya wink.gif Only difference between and iron-on patch and a non-iron-on patch is the heat-activated sticky stuff applied to the back during production.
I've always liked this one.
Nice patch or sticker.
If a patch, I'd like to see some other color options.
Red and white would be cool. cool.gif
Yeah, I bought a T shirt from the guy that designed that one.
It's a nice design.
Never seen this one. Nice & simple. Wouldn't be original if I changed the color would it? wink.gif
Nice clap56.gif
I would sew that on my black jacket with red and white lettering.
How about a black border and no background...just 914 shaped.
I'd definitely be in for a patch or two. I like to use the iron adhesive to stick it and then sew it on while it's stuck.
I personally liked the "Got Cones" patch. I don't know how much the women would dig it though.....
By Patch 1 are you referring to the original, like "itsa914"?
If I do stickers, would you want the same design as the patch or different?
My vote - same design
Posted by: GTeener Oct 19 2004, 12:41 PM
Patches & Sticker production will require probably a minimum order of 250-300 pieces.
Is there enough interest for that many of both?
Posted by: itsa914 Oct 19 2004, 12:54 PM
I would take two of each. That's alot of patches & stickers to have to sell. wacko.gif
agree.gif
That's why I'm trying to find out if there is enough demand.
If I bought 150, 75 people would need to buy 2.
I did just sell 72 914 GURL hats but this is a different product.
Maybe I should stick to just making hats?
A "Got Cones?" Hat might be more popular. Not sure confused24.gif . I'm not getting much feedback here.
Posted by: itsa914 Oct 19 2004, 01:55 PM
Tuff call. For me I wouldn't buy a hat with that on it. A patch I can put on my jacket OR hat. Also, I like the sticker because I would put one on my helmet as Joe said and put the other on a sheet of magnetic material to put on my car when AXing.
Posted by: mikerose Oct 19 2004, 02:04 PM
I like the sticker because I would put one on my helmet and tool box type.gif
Posted by: Joe Ricard Oct 19 2004, 02:31 PM
Yea good Idea, one on helmet and two on magnetic material for car. Beautiful. Wish I woulda thought of all that. So now I need 3 stickers. Don't get me started with tool boxes.
Posted by: Joe Sharp Old Oct 19 2004, 07:04 PM
I'm in just cause I have more 914s than 914 stuff. biggrin.gif Just make it I'll buy it.
