914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Replacing Vacuum Lines 12 mm braided jacket or fuel lines

I can get new fuel 12 mm lines for $2.50 per foot.
Do you have to use the rubber fuel lines with the braided jacket?

Thanks

No you do not. Only reason to stick with the braided cloth line, would be to keep the original look. The rubber fuel line should work just as well for your vacuum lines.

unbraided hose in vacuum service might tend to collapse more than braided hose might collapse, maybe, maybe not???? suck on closed off section of hose and see how much it collapses, if it passes this test, then i see no reason fuel hose wont work. braided hose does look nicer however, but that may not be important to you.
