This one arrived Saturday from Awesome Powdercoat. I havent installed it yet, but thought I'd post a couple of photos.
The opening temps are appropriate for the TypeIV, showing the markings....
So far, it popped right into the mount with a factory like fit. Very nice. I may try to get it installed today, and will throw in some pics in action...made hier in das gut old USA.
It's pretty. Nice job!

Yeah, that's it. The one I received for the T4 opens at 85-90* C.

Got it installed today, and it worked perfectly. Seemed to cut warmup time by about half, and that was with local driving that usually doesn't reach full temp (210*ish). When it reached that temp, I checked the flap operation, and it was full open. So I'm happy with the performance. I'll keep an eye on it for the next couple days to ensure its working properly, so far, so good!

I want a business that has name that starts with "Awesome"!
How can you go wrong?
Nice piece!
Did you also order the cable from Awesome, and if so did it come with the union nut on the end?
Nice Thread! I'm in the process of adding the stock cooling system to my 2.3 type 4. I ordered the bellows from the same outfit you did. I ordered the roller(pulley) from AA. Got the flaps and some tin, from a fella on EBAY. Thanks for the picks and all......Awesome!
Arty, please keep me abreast of what it takes to install the flaps and bellows again. My Previous Owner removed mine.
So far,so good. The bellows have been performing flawlessly. I drove the car to Lime Rock last weekend, and short of my still persistent start up idle issue, the car ran at a consistent 215 (according to the gauge) degrees, heavy traffic notwithstanding. (Throgs Neck Bridge, always a jam)
Based on previous warm up times, it's about half the time. Oil just doesn't transfer heat like water, so it's not gonna be like a Honda. I do feel that there is a benefit to a quicker warm up, as once I get there, the idle is no longer a problem....

As a follow up...I noticed on the way back from Conn. last week that it took longer than what I expected to warm up. Figgered it was just that there was no traffic (imagine!) but didn't pay it much nevermind cause it was running right at 210-215. Then noticed the same thing yesterday morning. After it cooled I changed the oil, and while under there noticed something hanging down...
It was the cable nut of the bellows, dangling... Then I remembered only finger tightening it when I installed the bellows,..dumbass... Hooked it back up, snugged it with the trusty 10mm wrench, and drove the wife to see her girlfriends. Back the way it was
