914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Issue Installing the 911 Timing Chain Tensioner Update

Posted by: map Aug 21 2012, 10:51 AM

Kevin and I are having an issue installing the update kit I purchased from Pelican. The oil line on the right side seems to be an inch short. We tried stretching it, but can't get it to reach.

Has anyone else had a similar issue installing this kit? If so, what was your solution?

Thanks in advance.

Pieper

The pressure sender fitting makes up the difference.

You need the oil pressure sender and mounting block to take up that space.

Nope, 2.7 w/ CIS

Thanks guys. It's usually my wife that points out things this obvious.

PS I share Kevin's bias towards FI.
