914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Electrical Question - Wiper Fuse connected to Headline Motors?

Posted by: SLKWrx Aug 31 2012, 09:06 AM

Need some electrical help. I had an issue with my headlights not going down and my gauge lights not working. Found that the blade connector on Fuse 10 (wipers?) was broken. Looking on the 74 wiring diagram, it looks as if Fuse 10 goes to the wipers, but then connects through the wipers to the headlight motors. Is that right? Anyone know how this whole thing works?

Thanks,
-- Steve

That would be the headlight motor control circuit. It needs to have constant power to operate correctly.

Wipers are connected to fuse #8 (which also feeds horn, fresh air fan, cigarette lighter).

Fuse #12 is retractable headlight motors

Gotcha. That makes more sense. I was going crazy.
