It's nice to see the Porsche community has become more 'family oriented' ... just need some 356s and SWB 912s in the mix now
I'm bummed we didn't get to go on this one - too many other obligations on my plate, including a wedding today

Wow, awesome pictures, really enjoyed the video.
Looks like I missed a great time, and an awesome drive.
Well hopefully I'll make it next year....if I can avoid the urge to tear my car apart again
Got my T-shirt, Thanks.
Looks like everyone had a great time.
Jeff
SLITS - Mike and I took the road east out of Beaver on the way home (originally the Saturday drive route but the main road was closed due to construction). The detour was rough dirt road but pretty scenery. More surprising was when we got back on the main road, it was dirt, too! And the decent out of the mountains back to the valley was freaking hair raising.... narrow road, really steep grade, very loose dirt, no barrier, hair pin turns, and the edge of the road was a plunge into hell (that's what it looked like from my side). It was pucker 11 to me. Mike said it wasn't so bad. All in all, it took an hour longer to take that route than if we'd just hit I-15 to I-70. Got some good photos, though, when I could pry my hand from around the "oh shit" handle.
This wasn't in Beaver
Heading North
Beaver Bound
LOL Ed. Cock Rock in Kodachrome Basin. Beautiful park though. Did you camp there or just drive through?
Just got home from RRC about noon today. Good ride in spite of blowing a fuze a few times. It was, of course in the circuit that the alternator warning light is on, so, red light on and ZERO volts. I replaced a 10 amp fuze with a 15 amp fuze and it worked fine. Much thanks to Sharon G and Gint for organising this trip and ordering lunch and BBQ. The veggie burgers were greatly appreciated. Lots of good Karma going to Ed Morrow, Brant and all who worked on StratPlayers car. And what are the chances that Ernie had a spare CHT sensor in his car? Or that SLITS had a spare fuel pump?
A big thank you to John Peterson (vegas racer) for a ride in his new Cayman. 914's are fun to drive. The Cayman is fun and COMFORTABLE. See you all next year.
Cheers, Elliot
watch out Clay..
you left that door wide open

No excuses...
Sorry Erc
We are home now. Thanks to all who planned and assisted with another great event! This is the first time in years Sandy and I didn't have either an over whelming amount of work or masters classes we were dealing with during the event. We even took time after to walk through a section of Bryce Canyon with Ed and Jen and drove to Gobin Valley for a photo shoot.
On the way home I had a throttle cable fail just before the west entrance into Vail. I managed to rig a wire up and drove to Mike & Sharons house. Mike was kind enough to pull the cable out of his green car so I could get home. Sandy posted a photo of me driving through terrifying traffic while trying to shift, slip the clutch, pull the wire, etc.,,
The rest of the trip home was clear sailing.
This is the last trip for the Alien. I've owned the car since 1993. She made her debut as an all Porsche V8 conversion in 2004. Since then I have crossed the US in all directions putting thousands of miles on at a time. It's been a wonderful run with a legendary car.
Next year We will be driving Sandy's Ravenna car and the Raspberry car will be in the shop under going a full tilt resto.
Must do this event sometime
Awesome.
That's it, not missing next year.
Oh crap! I miss out a easy ride!!
I wanted to feel, ? 2-3 G pull in acceleration.

Side bar----So I took the long route to Beaver , picked up a few things along the way.. A bunch of polished wheel hoops ....I left my truck and Daisy at Eric's house and went back to Beaver in GRNMNE with Nacho,, Great time good fun and beat Wills back to Hotel.......Back at the Shea's loading all my stuff in my truck Eric and I noticed a burn in the cardboard...Eric emediately blamed Suzie's smoking, Well then we noticed a bigger Burn hole. Turns out the High polish and Great Sunshine
started the mini burns, Could have been Bad as my truck was backed up to Eric's house BTW I had 17 of these fire starters in the back of the tuck.
