Just bought a teener a few weeks ago . first one 72 1.7 . Needs a few things , suspension bushings, linkage issues seems the usual stuff from what I've read on this and other sites. My big question is this. I plan to use this for a touring car. hopefully multi day trips , back to the midwest. down to Kalifornia etc ..What is a good aftermarket seat that will provide all day comfort and not cost $500 a piece? and fit in a teener with out major fab. Am I dreamin? Thanks

you should be able to fit some later style 911 seats with minor modifications.

but i like the stock seats, never had a problem with them, drove from the Bay Area to Arkansas without getting blisters ...

What's wrong with the stock seats? BCinSC and I did 65.5 hours straight for a LA to Boston run. I was amazed that my back or butt wasn't sore. I can't go more than 4 hours in my Passat without a back ache. There's a few others here that have done long trips with stock seats too.

My Recaro SRD is pretty sweet. 3499 miles in 3 days. 150lb rear springs koni adustables bigger torsion bars.

Maybe it's just my back. Just can't seem to get real comfortable. I end up sliding down and getting lower back pain. My son thinks the seats are ok too The last marathon run I've done was Phoenix to Ridgecrest Ca [China Lake] and back in about 19 hours in a 03 rental mustang. My butt didn't hurt till the last two hours. That's what I'm looking for . I can't afford the mustang before you say anything. I can't afford the teener if I don't wrench on it myself!!! Thanks for your input

Take a page out of Trekkor's book and have some different seat inserts made for the stock seats. Maybe some thick memory foam with an integrated lumbar support? That way you only replace the bottom section and it's cheaper too.

I'm in a similar plight. I'm considering the Corbeau A4's (about $640 delivered to your door) or the Sparco Monza's. The rest of the aftermarket seats seem to be too big for the 914.

Sparco is almost twice as much as the Corbeau, so I might end up going the COrbeau way... or just get leather corbeaus rather than cloth Sparcos.
