Robby Poindexter's '75 beauty at the FFC 04
(robby if you want I've got a really big version of this suitable for printing/framing)

That gets my vote.
I think I stopped looking at the FFC picture threads before that one was posted - or I just missed it. That shot is absolutely wonderful!
I'd like to have an 8x10 or larger print of that and would be willing to pay for it. It's a classic.
Nice pic
thanks guys, I like it too.
The only thing that would have been nicer, is if it wasnt raining. Awesome shot though. There is some talent in this Club.
Ernie,
I posted the pic at Ofoto, send me an email to: sean@moronthrottle.com with your email address and I'll send you the link. They'll print it for $3.99 for an 8x10 and mail it to you. Ofoto is owned by Kodak, so the print quality should be very good.

Very nice! I say put it up for all to see!
That is a very, very nice (VERY!) pic...
pete
print it pete, make me a happy man!
Hell, I'll even write a caption
Proof that a 914 can have headlights, wipers, fogs, and be moving forward simultaneously .
Maybe if the tail was hanging out a little... and I was driving it.
I like it. Nice shot!
Can I get a bigger version of it? I think it's time for some new wallpaper.
Great pic. By the way what are those black things on the windshield???
Yes I am viewing this while in the desert. Hey guess what, they are predicting rain for Palm Desert, stay off the roads, get off the golf course.
CCLINGONBLOCANTINA
This new candidate and the current front page shot would be perfect on a calendar. Maybe October and November. Might be a good project for 2006.

There is a picture of the alien in the rain on that same corner with the bridge in the back ground. I just looked for it but couldn't find it - it is AWESOME.
its in the thread "My FFC Pics" that I started
Nope this one is the best

Here it is......

I don't want to come across as putting down anyone's photos, but for me what really makes the photo is the framing. I really like the original precisely because it has the wider view which shows the trees and such (plus I love the lights on the pavement). I also like the shot of the Alien, because its tight framing shows off the car so well (and the close zoom lets me see the water dropplets on the car). Of course, I don't think there is such a thing as a bad photo of a 914, although there are photos of bad 914s!
Ernie, you aren't putting down anyone's photos. I was the only fool to stand in the rain for 30 minutes photographing everyone's car
Doesn't seem foolish to me. I've done similar things. Besides, we all own 914s so there's something foolish perhaps in all of us!
Sean, I meant to thank you for the great photos (I saved them all) and to thank you for putting on a great event. That poker run test was harder than Chinese arithmetic though. How do I get a printed copy of this picture? Thanks again, Robby.
Robby,
you can http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=o96lz0q.181qd6y2&x=0&y=-8uqlg4 OFoto will print it for you. An 8x10 is $3.95 or you can get it poster sized. The image is large enough to do a 20x30 poster. If you order from them becare of the Zoom & Trim button. It automatically is on by default. There are two versions of the pic - 1 cropped and 1 just as you see it at the top of the page.
How about a MUSR pic... I know it's not a "classic" event or anything...
or
or
Crop it and make it look worthy of the car. It looks really good. We must show the world that a 914 can operate in the rain!!!!
It's up there...
The pic of the Alien really looks great, but the first blue one in the rain captures the time of year and works well for a opening page. It's got my vote.
Looks very nice!
