PLEASE book your rooms early and shoot me a PM with your menu choice. They need to make sure they have enough of everything on hand.


Saturday morning breakfast - At hotel
Scenic drive from Flagstaff to Winslow lunch along the way.

Saturday night - Top shelf awards dinner at one of Arizona's most historic hotels. Budget about $30(It's Saturday night and you are on vacation, it's a good deal!)

I was thinking of taking a tour of route 66 next spring in either the 911 or the 914. More trunk space in the 14. Still, for some reason I thought route 66 was bigger than that.

Why did this event slide to the fifth page? Why is it not highlighted? Looking forward as always to crossing the Mojave. I hope the car is finished in time and I don't have to drive my pickup to Winslow. But then again, my truck has a stereo, air conditioning and cruise control.

Did a run from Sedona to Flagstaff on 89A last month just before the snow hit- unbelieveable road! Then went from Camp Verde thru Payson back to Scottsdale. Great country! This looks like a good route- will have to work it into my schedule.


(drove thru Winslow many years ago with my dad taking a 356 Cab to Iowa from California- had to check out the flatbed Ford!!)

I'd like to come but at this point it will be a fly in deal. Anybody have an extra seat? Flying into Vegas or Phoenix? There is an outside chance if I have my conversion done I'll drive. I'm going to go out on a limb & assume it won't be. So I'll plan for a flight & change later. It will be cool if I can get a ride. If not I can always rent a car there

Finally got around to it, just booked up my rooms!

Hey Wills, the lady at LaPosada asked me if we had anyone in charge of making food orders, and I said we'd be happy with hot dogs and burgers as long as there was meat in it since none of us could eat veggie crap without puking.

Just kiddin' Elliot.

I told her that Wills was in charge of that part, I think she only asked 'cos it's getting close to the cutoff date. Get with it people or you'll get whatever Wills picks at random! Which reminds me, I'll PM you my food choice Mike. (that's a bit too close to "BM" there )

Another fun Rt66 tour. Much thanks to Mike Wills (MoveQik) and John Peterson (VegasRacer) for another great time. The "T" shirts are very cool and there were some very unique awards for some outstanding cars. As always, looking forward to next year.

Stopped in Williams for breakfast and fuel. Was chased down by a couple in a Mercedes Benz. Didn't get his name but he said he was restoring a '75 Irish Green 1.8L and wanted to know sources of information and parts. They were out of Las Vegas. Hopefully they will log in and become members.

Yes it is all new... some people had rooms there, jacuzzi tubs, etc. I, however, did not. What a cool hotel.

Slits and I took Rt 66 from Ash Fork to Kingman. Always a fun run.

I stayed in Laughlin Sunday and leaft Monday morning listening to high wind travel warnings. The wind was krazy all the way home. I watched a rented RV almost blown over around Mojave. Tehachapi had 1/8 mile visibility in fog with rain and 36 degrees. I normally drive old rt 66 with a stop in Amboy but decided to press on home.
