914World.com _ 914World Garage _ All-Original '73

Been searching for a 914 and found one for sale that's all original.

I'm not sure if this is all original, though. I thought rain-sensing wipers and PCM Navi were standard on the '73. Anyone know?

Anyway, here's the description:

"DESCRIPTION
Complete and all original Porsche 914 with low miles Bright Lime Green Exterior Black leather interior Porsche is in excellent Condition Matching Numbers with original parts and service Sun Roof Power windows and steering with tilt Sporty and fun as well as responsive Always maintained meticulously on schedule with nothing but premium fluids parts and service every time Full financing professional nationwide shipping and extended warranties are all available on approved credit."

Also says it's got power seats and exactly 60000 miles.

Price is high but premium fluids parts is hard to resist.

Hmm. Tilt wheel and automatic transmission? I think not.

Power steering, and automatic transmission, too. Rare bird indeed.

That looks like a sporomatic shift knob, can't see any pedals other than the gas. Did they ever put a sporto in a 914?

What ... no pedals? ... automatic brakes too? laugh.gif

Rain sensing wipers? In 1973?? Someone is confused.

OK, let's take the options apart here:
Leather interior - 914's NEVER had it.
Sunroof - see above
Power windows - see above
Power steering - see above
Tilt whell - see above
Power seat - see above.
Rain sensing wipers - see above
NAVI? - this is a joke isn't it?
Lime Green exterior - maybe, depends on what you'd call it.

Now, let's clear this up. This is either a lame joke, or you are.
Which?

Why does the link take me to a listing for a '65 Olds 442?

Posted by: euro911 Jan 17 2013, 07:59 PM

It's not spotlighted anymore. They keep moving it around. Just do a search for 914s on their site.

"Premium Fluids". Isn't that what the General was concerned about in the movie Dr. Strangelove?

So is Dr. Viagra happy11.gif

OK, to put it another way. Been searching awhile for a nice 914 and I am getting discouraged. Can't seem to find a decent one for a decent price. Oh well.
