914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 1975 1.8 l-ject fuel injector Identification

Posted by: jesiv Feb 9 2013, 03:02 PM

So I was just about to hand over the keys to my 17 year old son, when I noticed one of the elbows leaking quite badly. I ordered the elbows, fuel lines, injector o-rings and clamps from Chris at Tangerine Racing. Needless to say it was a pleasure working with Chris.

So after removing the injectors, I noticed that my injectors have three different number groups and two of the injectors have different numbers. However, it appears that the bosch part number 0280150112 is the same on all of them. I am hoping the group 1 numbers are just a lot number or something. Does anyone have any ideas? Are they the proper injectors for a 1975 1.8 l-jet?

Thanks for the help!

Regards,

James

The Bosch part number is the correct identification. The others are probably production runs, date codes, manufacturing plant or whatever.

When we sell them to rebuilders, they are sold by Bosch OE.

0 280 150 019 = 2.0L

0 280 150 009 = 1.7L

0 280 150 112 = 1.8L

0 280 150 105 = 912E

They're also light blue, so that's a strong hint they're 1.8 injectors. The 1.7 ones are yellow (some early ones are black), and the 2.0 ones are green. Not sure about non-914 applications.
