I have two alternators in the parts stash: one with a 2 3/4" pulley and a second with a 3 1/2" pulley IIRC, the 3 1/2" is stock.
Is there an advantage to a smaller pulley ?

Jim; I have a 3 1/2" pully that is aftermarket, nice billit, but the problem is changing

fan belts and not having enough slide on the adjust bracket to draw in the pully

to get the new belt on.

Interesting Nord; I think the 3 1/2". Is the stock size ? Would a smaller pulley make the alternator put out more amperage, or improve it's output at lower rpms ?
