heater fan?

Generally a brown with a white trace is going to a switch / light that connects to direct ground or a brown lead. . Measure the brown white and see if you have 12v on it. . . the only thing it that area is the seat belt light and the heater blower on the heater lever. . .

Back pad light ?

Back light wires come out of the wrapped harness by the rear of the console and have about 3 feet of spare length. . and there are 3 wires there- one brn/wh one solid brn and a green one. . also feed the rear window defroster.

Sportomatic . Number 86 on the 70 -71 wiring diagram, brn/white connects to a spst switch to ground. Probably to disengage the clutch. Have the same wire on my '70.
