Sources have indicated that someone who shall remain nameless but has the initials "Mike Ginter" is going ahead with plans to mount 39 Cheby headlights on his ride. Some go with Cheby engines and others... well.

Despite the fact that I love the way a 928 drives on the highway, I never did like the headlight setup. You get all the complexity of a hidden headlight, but the headlight is exposed to rocks, road debris, and any falling object 24 hours a day. With the setup on the 914/924/944, the headlights are covered during driving in daylight, and are not subject to the abuse the exposed headlights on a 928 could potentially receive.

Could this be a picture done in fun just to see what it'd look like? Maybe seeing if it looked like the Cibie lights they used on racers? I hope so.

I really dont like it.. 
But You know what? Its your car, Heck what we say, If you think it looks cool, then by gumb go ahead and put those lights on... I thought you where restoring the car, but if your modding it... Then I think before you get some paint on it, hammer the fenders out a bit, Give yourself a little more room for some 205's.
No one will know.

You might be right. I spent the weekend in Breckenridge (wife made me go). I hate early season skiing.
