I got backed into by a lady driving a Ford F350 . So who knows of a decent body shop in Sacramento, Ca. for P cars? I need to get an estimate for the insurance company. Here is a photo. Is this somthing I could fix myself? I have done mechanical/electrical, but no body stuff.

as much as that got banged up, I'd make sure that the spot with the blue arrow and the front of the tub are still straight.

I need to tell you something that sounds ugly, but it's far prettier than what repairing that would be...

You need a donor panel.

Sorry man, I have been there more times than I can count on fingers.

Stan I recently had a 914 repaired with an almost exact fender damage.
Remove the bumper and cut just the front corner off and replce that with a donor piece.
Do not try to replace the complete fender, it never comes out looking right. Also make sure the shop can pull any of the front panel, behind the front bumper.
This is a good time to backdate to early bumpers if you are so inclined.

It doesn't look too bad. Find a club guy with a welder.

I agree to just cut the damaged area and replace with a donor panel.

Local club members Mark and Brandon, in Napa, will take good care of your car as he has recently done the same repair on his, due to deer strike.

Car will look very good at a fair price.
He will weld on a good panel from a donor car and Brandon will finish it right.

Unfortunately Napa's out of my range (it's electric). I could maybe tow it. The lady took all responsibility, so I want to get a good estimate.

You have an issue with the inner fender well being pushed into the headlight bucket. The gap in the picture is too close. (I have a car with the exact same damage) It's going to need to be pulled slightly. I would go new (used) fender or at least a good section of it. A new fender can be put on properly and look "better" than new (gaps etc.) if done by a qualified tech.

My son's recent collision is almost identical. Mark/Brandon-willing to give a real round number ballpark to patch in donor panel, pull out the nose slightly and paint patch to match?

We can work out a minor pickup and delivery charge. I've got a tow dolly.
Rough ballpark would be $350 for metal work (labor only) + $500 (labor; plus about $100 materials) for paint.

We can't work with an insurance company. Most companies just need a quote from a shop. In your case I would just take it to Miracle or some other discount shop to handle the insurance quote. Then once the insurance company writes you a check you're free to take you car wherever you want for repairs. See if your company does the same thing. If you can somehow settle with the lady without the insurance companies it'll save both you and her from paying increased insurance rates.ß
