SoCal update. Rain and wind last night really made it pretty today. Cool, high 40's, took Suzi for a quick Mulholland blast and stopped at Rock Store. Damn, I love this place.

Had some more but got error message something like 'exceeded the limit set for your group' what ever that means. AAAAAAAAAAron, if I could just straighten it out it would reach your house. Gonna try to make AX next weekend.
Funny, you crackers seem to spell Rome OK

Was that Qarl's Lotus taking the long way to Florida?
French Blue, Italian Red, British Green, US White... German Alpine Rust.....

That R5 is a giant killer.. I always wanted one of them (still do)!!
Gustl, we know it's blue. We're just going through a phase of France bashing here, as in French Surrender White (flag). We don't speak English here, it's American. It must be tough to understand some of our bad jokes, so keep asking.
I went fishing this morning/afternoon
Here is my Dad with two of our twelve bass we caught. We kept six. I am eating two tonight!

What's an R5? It reminds me of a little Renault.

It's time for a ....

Yesterday was my day of birth.
It was a day without mirth,
Bright and sunny all day thru,
Warm as toast and skies of blue.
Went to bed sometime last night,
After playing halo, I fought the fight,
Had a beer or maybe two,
Glot laid real good too!
Woke up this morning, boy it was chilly,
2 1/2" feet of snow, now isn't this silly,
Was it the diety's revenge for this plight?
5 hours I shoveled that damn stuuf that's white.
My toes are frozen, my face is a block of ice,
For this day after, I was gonna be nice,
But this storm unannounced it blew in,
Screw the weather channel and all their kin!
I drove a 914!!!!
My car is finally back together, so I took it to a top secret testing facility (disguised as an empty parking lot). I got to play for an hour and finally start to learn the car and the gear shift. Its been a wonderful weekend weatherwise in the Bay Area.
Now I have a new oil leak to fix.

one more.
My wife even drove it for around 10 minutes so now I have to fix the seat to either adjust or have an insert - maybe I'll get her to AX next year?

Met my first club member in person, Jeff Dixon. He was out for a nice sunday drive up from K-Falls and on to the Cascade Lakes hwy, it closes tommorow for the winter.
He took me for a ride in his 6cyl and even let me drive.
Thanks Jeff.
Yeah it was fun, and yes I want a six now.
But for now it's back to work on the 2.0L
Picked up my new motor today.
Now I've got something to do this winter.
I just got home from Okla City (AQha Worlds horse show )where it was wet and cold, BUT when I got home here in Temecula there was SNOW everywhere in the hills. I have lived here for 30 years and never saw snow that low and it is cold.
Bernie
Cool Bernie... how many other people like horses?

Worked this morning, shopped, and did more Thanksgiving planning this afternoon. I'm about to settle down in front of the TV for a while with a cup of tea. I hate that the weekend is almost over.

Lots to do ( I have a vivid imagination) & not enough cash.
Looks like the Lazy B is gonna be sucking up a lot of my weekends this winter.
Took my medication and played Half-Life 2 all day.
Well I went out and found this little project car to bring back to CAMP.

Recap of the weekend
Built shelves to store more stuff. Engines and transaxles and big parts boxes.
Fixed the drivers window winder. re- timmed the motor. Bumped a few more degrees. Built new work bench to put Rob's motor together on. Now I just need some parts.
Oh and put a fiberglass front bumper on.
Dinner, drinks, and clubbin with friends friday and saturday night
Sunday, drove in a scavenger hunt with the local Mini Club (minicci.org). Relaxed sunday evening with a few Guinness. Woke up this morning to a giant mess in the kitchen -- somehow the plastic bottle of wesson oil lost structural integrity during the night and contents (~ 1-2 cups) all over the cabinet. That crap has dripped all over my countertop and sink areas
Nothing motivates like knowing you get to come home from work to a big a$$ mess...
YEA!!!!
Got the new rocker arm and shaft installed....fired that sucker up.....
HOT DAMN....that is until the wrench under the fan stopped it cold.....shi#....
Got the Megasquirt dialed in....Now to pull the motor and fix the oil leak...double s#it....
This motor revs quick and I can't wait for a trip around the block....in spring....
