Looking for a good used master cylinder on ebay and I come across http://www.ebay.com/itm/120716434037?item=120716434037&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:AAQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr. Never mind the fact that the thing's so rusted it's almost unrecognizable, but then he suggests that it's rebuildable, the implication being that rebuild kits are actually available. Taking a long shot that the kits were actually available, I asked if he had the kits or knew of a source. Crickets.
He has 20 available and I wonder how many he'll sell to unsuspecting buyers before they find out they're $45 paperweights.
who? danny?
who's that person?

Herr Doctor in Marietta, GA
You mean the guy with the signature line that appears in all his ads:
"These came off very low mile cars and were stored indoors."
Gives me chills.
perpetual bs mo.
We have probably 100 - 200 of them and the price would be $15 each.
Thank you for this public service announcement. I've added this thread to my immutable list. FDLFBFG:

Here's a totally rusted out tub he's trying to pedal on unsuspecting 914 buyers. I liked James comments regarding "Perfect for the early 914 restorer who desires to update to the later superior shift linkage and window mechanisms." Window mechanism? It doesn't have any doors!

What I'd really like to know, is how this guy stays in business.
When you go to the great 914 junkyard in the sky, would you rather people remember you like everybody remembers Otto (as a recent example) or like we will remember George one day?
I didn't see one negative word about Otto on the internets, it was all good things and help he provided.
at least you'll be smiling when the hooker walks out the door. eric, didn't go thru all the links (you search fiend!). did that included the green conv that surfaced in the classifieds not too long ago?

I'm missing a few for sure Kevin. Jeff's recent "NOS" center cushion comes to mind.
that's news to me. i'll have to ask 6nay4 next time i see him.
that's even worse!!!!! shame. $109.06, .06, to ship so you're in to it for $429.06 when the dust settles. check out the description and esp the return policy. i guess with a 100% positive feedback rating you don't need one.

What exactly is in a rebuild kit?
