Had to post these pics. I'm still amazed. This is out of my brother's ITC car (I started in it and he got it when I moved to another race car). A 1.6L watercooled VW motor is usually pretty bulletproof, but check this out.

I take it those holes are not supposed to be there...
oil pump failed, i had one do the same thing. some times the pump shaft that goes in the distributer shears off....
AAAHHHH Yes, the classic oil pan failure. Failed to keep all the parts in.
