Did anyone go last year? Was it a big swap/show with great turnout, and are you planning to go again this year?
I am contemplating driving my 914 out there, but it's on the same day as the Madera Spring Fling car show. I don't want to miss the show and drive 2 hours from home if it is a weak little swap meet. But I'd be glad to miss the VW show if there are a couple of dozen Porsches and a bunch of parts for sale.
Any info would be much appreciated!! Thanks
Sunday is the 27th.
Saturday the 26th.
Which is it ?
Damn. I'm in San Jose right now but leaving to go home in a few hours. This would be cool.
Nahh! Forget that one and come down to the G&R.
G&R is too far for me.
I will come down to the San Jose site for fun. I may bring some parts but not sure.
Anyone know anything about it?

I plan to stop by... if nothing, to get out of my 914-hybernation. I'm gonna carry around a 914 gauge cluster for cheap; anyone interested?
Geoff
I am thinkig of going also, but I am not an early riser...
I have a 2.7 CIS system, 6 carbs wth manifold, linkage, fuel pump and rebuild kits for the carbs. And I have a box of four cylinder FI parts. Shocks, rear coilovers with GPR progressive spings and boge shocks if anyone is interested.
I am going to bring the 1966 mercedes as it has a HUGE trunk.

Looks like the rain (if there was any) skipped past this area. I'm only about 4 miles from the swap meet locale, so I think we're going to be alright.
Just snapped this pic outside my house ... the ground is dry, so if you were on the fence due to weather, come on out. See you there!
Not a bad showing today ... a bunch of guys were selling stuff and there were about fourteen 914's there. Here's a sampling ...
This 914 is owned by Rush (standing behind the car), the organizer of the event
Beautiful Bumblebee owned by Michael N's wife (Jessie?)
Michael N's factory Six
Surf Monkey's (Richard) factory Six. Last year he wanted $48K for it. This year it's $70K.
Boxsterfan's (Ron) '74 2-liter
A six conversion installed in a '75
Another '75, this 1.8 came down from Castro Valley
Deep dish Sport steelies
Dave Darling (2nd from left) showed up, gimpy knees and all. Here he is explaining the difference between early and late Pedrini's.
Also pictured are Mark (aka Moe from Stockton), who is holding the wheel, Jeff, back to camera, and Nick on the far right.
Stuff for sale
I know these are supposed to be unobtanium ... but really?
More air cooled classics ...
Gotta love the Squareback
'76 912E w/sunroof and air conditioning
slipping in one of them new fangled water cooled Porsches owned by nice guy John
Timeless ...
Good times today and glad to see all you 914'ers out there. I picked up a decel valve that looked brand new (maybe NOS but out of the box). Works perfectly!!
We need to get another Bay Area breakfast and fun run afterwards put together again. I think it has been since Alice's Restaurant in December for the last breakfast.
Bummed I missed it. I was still playing with my CV's and realized My bolts were too short...
I made it with my old Mercedes, the blue 1966. Had a great time and sold some parts.
Thanks to Rush for setting this up!

Cool. Maybe next time, thanks for the photos!
Picked up a new side mirror rubber base, a back up TPS for a 2.0 D-Jet in like new condition, and a super clean gas cap the polished up nicely with Flitz for the Bumblebee's gas tank. Thanks Scooter for the super deals. Kathy (aka Jessie today), my son Nolan and I had a good time. Great way to spend a Sunday morning. A big thank you to the organizer.
Wow, what a great turn out! I wanted to go, but we had to be in Half Moon bay for Dream Machines... just around the corner!
The doors were evidently from a 74 911. Both had bubbles under the paint near the bottom; evidently water got into both.

Crap. I missed it too. I was rock solid on going but had other issues pop up last minute. Good to see there was a nice turn out!
Nuts - I decided it was going to be rained out and slept in. Sorry I wasn't up to check the dawn patrol's picture post.
Ditto on another local drive/breakfast.
