60 year old NY man seriously injured when he lost control of his 1967 Porsche in the S Curves outside Dummer NH. He hit a telephone pole and a tree. Had to be cut out of the car.
Why the hell did they have to cut the roof off...looks like a minor tap?!
A friend sent this to me over the weekend as it occured here in NH.
I agree the car held up well.
The problem is he had major head injuries due to the fact that he only had a lap belt on.
If you know anybody driving their antique with nothing but a lap belt - PLEASE URGE THEM TO UPGRADE TO A 3-POINT SYSTEM!!!
I hope he's OK, shame about the 911 but it's just a car.
See this thread for more details:

Yikes! Hope the owner comes through OK.
One of the 911 guys that was on the group run to Gettsburg in April, lost his car in a group run last year to Canada. He drifted over to the other lane, just missed a head on, and side swiped the guard rail for 30 yards. He was a lucky one....
From the first picture it sure looked like nothing...you'd think the jaws of life would be able to bend those thin doors super easy. Maybe they should he broke his neck and wanted to get him out through the top.
Read about it on the bird site. Driver was on a fun run and some how things went south. My position has always been - save them fun runs for the track! At the track, you have medical services, run out and they only one that will keep in check is yourself - before you scare yourself silly....at least that's how it is for me.
Ps. Driver is in an induced coma for his benifit for now.
Hope he recovers OK.
Be careful, no matter what you drive.
I watch YouTube dash-cam crash videos from time-to-time and it's pretty scary to see what can transpire within a few ticks on the clock
This was a "fun run". At least it was for awhile.

First I hope the 911 driver has a full and speedy recovery.
2nd the 914 pic wow, I bet the was a Clorox moment.
WTB: one 914 seat cushion. Previous one is rectally implanted.
Agreed: It's all fun until the sudden stop. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
