I'll be working, but you can bet the race will be on my computer...
Dave
Thanks for the heads up...did a track event last week @ Road America where the Nationwide Series will be this weekend...so much going on glad to get a reminder about the big race across the pond.
Going to be a great race! Toyotas do not look as outright fast as last year, but with all the rain this week and the fact that it probably will continue, there is the possibility for some upsets. The teams that play their strategy right and take advantage of the rain (and don't end up in the armco) could really dominate.
The new 991 GTE Porsches look really mean by the way. Worth tuning in for. Speed is broadcasting a lot of the race, but I usually just put the T.V. on with the sound on mute and tune in to Radiolemans.com for the coverage. Hindaugh and the gang make things much more interesting and immersive.
Going to watch as much as possible!!

Heavy rain and crashes everywhere at the 23rd hour ...
One more victory for Audi !
What to say? An absolutely exhausting race, physically for the drivers and teams and emotionally for me at least. Simonsen was a great driver and even the greatest get caught out and the inevitable ensues.
Was proud of Aston Martin for soldiering on and keeping up the good fight, as well as all of the teams who worked through the miserable conditions. While not the happiest of Le Mans races, I think this was one truly for the ages.
Video of when Allen Simonsen lost control of the car. There are comments how the race prep put down fresh paint prior to the race. Certainly looks like he got onto the paint and the car could not be controlled. The paint would cause the left side tires to slip and the right side to catch...thus pushing it counterclockwise and off the track to impact.
Obviously, a completely preventable collision: both in race prep and the barriers they chose to use. IMHO
Rest in Peace Allen, I hope your death is not in vain and will result in changes so others may be safer.
