Engine Rotation / Boxster Tranny
Greetings:
Looking for some info from the "experts" whomever of you that
may be. Since the boxster is a Mid-Engine water cooled it was
suggested that I should consider a Boxster Tranny for my 914
project car. I am considering the use of Only the Tranny, and as
such trying to clarify some items. My questions:
1/ Does Boxster engine rotate clockwise or counter clockwise?
(someone mentioned that it may be different from other
late model Porsche's
2/ Is the Boxster tranny that much stronger or beefier than
an aluminum 915 tranny.
3/ What kind of Top Speed can one expect from a Five speed
Boxster at say 6,000 RPM with standard gearing and tires
4/ Anyone know if it could handle 350lbs torgue and 350 HP for
an engine conversion into a 914.
Thanks for your replies and appreciate your good comments
Merry CHRISTmas.

Allan,
Read this thread http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=8784&hl=boxster+tranny
Check with Kennedy Engineering Products if they have an adapter and clutches
Check the boxster forums for specs and problems. There are more "experts" there.
There is a member converting to Boxter drivetrain but the mods to the engine bay will be extensive.
