914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Fuse panel SOLVED

Posted by: dfelz Jul 17 2013, 03:04 PM

I am missing two fusses, and also have a few non stock ones in there that I don't know the rating of. Can someone please show me a picture with the stock colored fusses in there.

Thanks

Don't you still have the fuse panel picture you took?

I'll grab a photo of the fuse values and post it up for you.

confused24.gif What year is your 914? From 1974 on they use 16 amp fuses in the spaces where 25 amp fuses go.

Its not in the manuals - but Pelican has the correct fuses in their electrical tech references section.

I had copied this from another post but I can't remember who to give credit for it.

Which fuse does what?

Left to right, the fuses are numbered.

1 Left high beam

2 Right high beam

3 Left low beam

4 Right low beam

5 Left parking/running lights

6 Right parking/running lights

7 Taillights (including license plate lights)

8 Brake lights, horn, wipers, lighter

9 Power to gauges and G light (charging system), turn signals

10 Fog lights (if fitted)

11 Hazard lights

12 Headlight motors

Fuses 8 and 12 are 25A, the rest are 8A. In later years, they dropped to 16A fuses for 8 and 12, and raised 10 to 16A, too.
