Lets see 'em.
Pulled fenders okay, but no GT flares please!
TIA
I'm not sure that 15x7 fit w/o being the version with 911R backspacing.
I'd love to have 16x7 with that backspacing, but they cost $ to have customs made.
It's not just the wheels, it's the tires. With the wrong offset, as the
regular 7x15 is, you may be okay with narrower tires, like 195 if
un-massaged fenders.
Check my vintage thread. 15x7s with 225hoosiers and 1 inch spacers giving me the ability to bolt 8s on
My fenders have been pulled on. The tight spot is obviously the rear of the
rear fenders where the body starts bending in a bit.
I built some 7.5x16 wheels with 38mm offset. To run Kumho V710 215/40/16
track tires with using -2 degrees camber it is very tight. There is no possible
way I could fit a wider tire, both inner and outer would hit. Correct offset is
about 35 to 33mm (I have assorted tiny spacers). My car is an original -6 so
the hubs may not be in exactly the same place as the -4. Also on cars of this
era there will always be differences from car to car and from left to right.
How about 7x16? 205x55
here is a picture with the 205-6inch fuchs....
the tape measure picture is with 7inch fuchs and 225 tires

No pulled fenders, 7x15 911R Fuchs and 205/50/15 tires.
7x16 Fuchs and front 205/50/16 + rear 205/55/16 tires with 20mm narrowed trailings arms.
15x7" front, 8" rear.
Sorry for picture quality, a little hard to tell how much pull to the rear fenders in this view.
No mods/pull up front, rolled inside lip only (..fits!).
My homely new project 7x15 with 225/50/15, sits kind of high even with the LS6. And a comparison with whitey 6x15 225/50/15 with pulled fenders and sits rather low.
