I've been installing a roll cage in Joe's -6 this week.
I've done some things differently than I ever did before because he plans to drive on the street and carry a passenger from time to time.
Here are a few pics of the cage tacked in place.

Check out Joe's 6- rollin' a fatty! I mean check out the nice fat roll bars in Joe's 6!!
Lookin' good! Are you gonna paint them to match the car or black?
My best,
Mike D.
nice work,
really like the back section with the V and the double arced tube.
could be a viagra ad.
Chris, lovely work. So that is the most practical cage for use on the street, with passengers? Let me know how easy it is to get in and out when you are finished, willya?
Looks good Chris.... Nice job as always....
Here are some RED bars for you...
Looks great Chris! Did you fab everything? What tubing? May make re-sealing the back glass interesting.
Allow me to show my stupidity............What's the purpose of the horizontal bar behind the seats? Is it just for mounting belts or is it structural?
If structural, why not go higher and not do the funky curves behind the seats?
Sorry for the dumb questions, don't take them wrong, your work is awesome. Some nice tight fishmouths!
Hey Chris-your welds SUCK!!!
How come your welds look like they're done by an automated welder and mine look like my 9 year old did them???
Give me a break, would ya! You done this before, or what?

Paul
OK, you can weld
I only wish I could.

Chris,
Great work as usual. Thanks for showing us the photos.
One comment about the rear horizontal harness bar. I noticed on several occasions that the 914's that Brumos of Jacksonville run at the HSR events have this horizontal bar routed through the center firewall hump, as opposed to shaping it to pass around it. I'm not sure how they physically do this and still get the bar in. Have you seen this arrangement and considered it? Just curious.
All primed and painted ready for Chris to Install
