Anyone have instructions on what to power other than the starter to bench start a stock six?

I do t want to burn my coil.

Just the coil if its crabbed...well fuel pump would be good.

Make sure oil is in the tank,

Yup.

Keep the oil tank above the motor.

What about the pack that is on top of the motor? I think it's connected to the coil. Does it need power? Wich side of the coil need positive?

Picture please.
If you have a multi spark unit, it will need power.
That unit may be powering your coil, that is how I have seen them wired.
