Ok i would like to buy myself a new years present for the my six project....
I would like to buy a front cooler, 914-6 shroud, fan, lines, and tank with fittings for seting up a 3.0
recomendations on a engine bar would be great too...
Hey Karl where did you get your "stuff"
thanks guys, and off to work i go....
steve
Hey Steve (nice plane),
You can get some of the parts you want from Rich Johnson, or all from Patrick Motorsports if I'm not mistaken. Even the bar.
HTH
I went with a Fluidyne cooler and *highly* recommend them.
Summit Racing for lines & fittings.
Troutman for a thermostat.
Rich Johnson for a front mount.....don't even think about the rest of that cra....er.....stuff......that prolly offended several folks.
I agree with JP. The Fluidyne was highly recommended by the group. I bought mine from Hoerr Racing, Peoria, Il. 866 851 7223.
I chose the #DB30417, its a doubles pass, for 2x cooling.
All the connectors from Summit. The only difference is Mocal Themo., it was already on the car.
Where are you going to run your oil lines?
The teener is going to be run as a 2.0 for the next season but I am acumulating parts as we will be starting as soon as the cold weather hits in fall, i want to be sure that i have all the parts and peices lined up so the car is not a jackstand-queen the following spring. so I am not sure where i am running my lines as of yet... Hope to draw as much info as i can before making descisions...
All info is much appreciated....do any Club members run at the Mission track
cheers
steve
Mission Track , There is a guy , Frank that runs a 914-6 , he aquired from my friend Walt. I have been there 3 years for the
annual BC /sovren race. Unfortunately I have been there with a 67 427 Corvette roadster. Stars and stripes. Have you seen
it ? I quit that so I will have time for my 914-6 hope to run up there fun little track .
If you would like to get in touch with the local guy .
with the six let me Know I ll get his number from Walt.
Check the fluiddyne site for selection. Jeff
Any Ideas on the shroud and fan?? Or who to contact for the resevoir....aluminum or steel??
Thanks guys...
Merry ho-ho
You should contact Steve at AIRCOOLEDRACING.COM. His 914 was the one featured in Excellance this month. He has a new cooler for 914's and it sounds like a great one. I have bought parts from Steve and he ais great to work with and his knowledge of 914's is a great help.
