914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Run on when shutting off

Posted by: KaptKaos Dec 22 2004, 11:26 PM

My 73 1.7 is starting to run on a bit when I shut her off. Any ideas where I should look first? Valves were adjusted about 2k miles ago, newish coil and most distributor parts are less than 2 years old.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Joe

Check the timing. Did you change gas stations ? I know that Ca. likes to slip in "Winter gas" around this time every year.

Maybe Sammy will chime in.

Thanks Brad.

Yeah, my regular station is digging up its tanks or some other ridiculous process. Had to use a different station.

Seems to run fine otherwise. I'll try and check the timing this weekend.

Merry Christmas all.
