Hi there,
Does anyone have pictures of what an unaltered clutch cable's adjustment nut set up should look like?
I've searched forums and have the Haynes manual (page 71 photo isn't great). I saw this thread

But I'm looking for definitive original setup to serve as a baseline reference. The PO did something "creative" that I think is preventing us from adjusting the cable properly(if at all) I'm tring to figure out what might need to be done to return to normal.
I also searched the PET, but couldn't locate the setup.
Thanks in advance
Two 11 mm nuts locked against each other behind the wedge that goes into the clutch arm ...
Actually, 7mm nuts that use 11mm wrenches to tighten. I think the original setup was one 7mm locknut, but the two give a more secure adjustment.
Interesting quiz....
Can you name one other nut on the car that you can use when the clutch nut falls off?
It's not an easy answer.
Any of the nuts that hold the trunk torsion bar on.
What do I win?
Edit: Nevermind, that's an M6, I forgot.
The rocker arm studs are M7, right? But that would not be a good idea...
