Oh, thats not right, open the hood and look behind the area where the bumper attaches, I bet somebody bumped into something. IPB Image

It's probably been popped in the front and repaired. Open the hood and check the hood supporting ribs and see if they're creased or dinged. A hood is pretty easy to straighten out, but it usually leaves some signs of work on the supporting ribs. I bet it's seen some work?

Oh yeah......AA? Just run away!!

My car had the same problem. It turns out that in the passed my car had been capped in the front. The front clip was replaced. The front trunk pan was 5mm too short thus causing nothing to fit right.

hey Brig, i'm Sea Isle!

Mine had that and I didn't notice it until after all my body and paint work was done.
I was able to massage and slowly bend it back to shape over the period of a couple of hours. I thought the paint would check but it didn't. It may be a different story after storing it for the winter though! IPB Image

That's what I'd be looking for IPB Image

did the car have or does it have one of those carpet kits that covers the gas tank?

if so, sometimes it'll move when the hood is open, then it'll sit on the bulkhead seal....close the hood and you'll tweak the hood....

mine did and you can tell that it got in the way once or twice when someone closed the hood

I've got the same problem. Of course I have a fiberglass hood and other "issues". I found that with the front hood springs set on the tightest location the hood would bow up in the middle of the fenders just like the picture. The new weather striping didn't help either.
