Posted by: nebreitling Dec 31 2004, 02:50 PM

Just curious what people are up to tonight.

I'll be with my gf's russian family and friends (in fact, i'll be only one of two non-russian speaking people there. should be intersting). champange at midnight, typical thing.

whatever you do, stay safe!

Last year our New Years Party lasted until 4:00 am. This year it starts at 3:30 and the first round of Poker starts at 4:00, it's $20.00 to get in, we got 18 of our friends from church scheduled to play, plus their kids will be here too playing on the Sony Playstation Dance Pad. Louser Lounge out back if it doesn't rain with cigars and Martini's. It will be fun, our third year in a row organizing it. IPB Image
O yah, Happy New Year IPB Image

Tonight is the one night of the year I really hate my job. I am a bartender at one of the major casinos on the strip. With NYE falling on a weekend this year it will be even worse than usual.

Needless to say I will be very busy and very popular. The bar will be 5 deep all night long and everyone wants to be served first. I think every person from California under 25 is in town and they all want to get as drunk as possible. IPB Image IPB Image

My only consolation is the money is good for the night. (But still not enough to make it worth the aggravation) I take pleasue in knowing that tomorrow morning I will be sleeping soundly while my obnoxious customers are IPB Image

First, Happy New Year's to all on the board! It's been an event-full year for us, and I hope it has been for y'all as well. And even more so in the new year!

NY's was pretty quiet here -- got the girls to bed and such (no complaining there IPB Image) and then got a dip in the pool -- (just got out. it's 50 degrees F here, and the pool was 90 -- what's not to like!!)

Alison:

I stepped out on the front porch at midnight to listen to
the fella next door serenade the neighborhood with
" the pipes" . Amid the crash & boom of fireworks one could imagine troops marching into battle.....it never fails to move me....and I'm German IPB Image
