Last year our New Years Party lasted until 4:00 am. This year it starts at 3:30 and the first round of Poker starts at 4:00, it's $20.00 to get in, we got 18 of our friends from church scheduled to play, plus their kids will be here too playing on the Sony Playstation Dance Pad. Louser Lounge out back if it doesn't rain with cigars and Martini's. It will be fun, our third year in a row organizing it.
O yah, Happy New Year
Out to dinner and hopefully back home before the PD gets roudy (8:30)

Tonight is the one night of the year I really hate my job. I am a bartender at one of the major casinos on the strip. With NYE falling on a weekend this year it will be even worse than usual.
Needless to say I will be very busy and very popular. The bar will be 5 deep all night long and everyone wants to be served first. I think every person from California under 25 is in town and they all want to get as drunk as possible.
My only consolation is the money is good for the night. (But still not enough to make it worth the aggravation) I take pleasue in knowing that tomorrow morning I will be sleeping soundly while my obnoxious customers are
Working... Banks don't stop processing for anything.
Mike D.
I will be part of the 83%.

No celebration here, except for making progress on my car.
I'll just be here bumping the board.
KT
Taking it easy with the family...we just put our boys to bed.....putting a power-glider back togather after a second crash, (sure gets windy around here) while i wait for the glue to dry...I ad my two bits here at the "garage"
My wife and I are going to watch a show, drink some bubbly.........
hope you all have a good evening
Steve
I am heading out to work for a few hours. Try to get home before midnight so as not to be in traffic with all the drunks. Hope you all have a very happy new year and get home safely.
Went shooting today (shotgun)... spent the evening researching handguns on the net...
Cooked some fancy-schmancy horse -de-ovaries
Herbed goat cheese balls and crostini
Smoked salmon dip
Mini filet mignon on crostini with garlic and pickle
Blue cheese (to nibble on)
Stromboli
Jelly-Belly's
Homemade margaritas and 914 Club.
I was at my friends..
But I was there alone..
I miss my X tons... miss her lots dont know what went wrong.
But New years eve is just another day...maybe this year my X and I will get back together.. I hope so
Drinking Full Sail Wassail , and bumbing the club (currently)
Hope I can stay awake til the wife gets home
Getting ready to watch the ball drop, (even though it already did), if I am home I watch it every year. Then the kids and I go outside and bang pots and pans and let off those popper thingy's!
Happy 2005 all of you 914 club buddies!
Cheers,
Lisa
First, Happy New Year's to all on the board! It's been an event-full year for us, and I hope it has been for y'all as well. And even more so in the new year!
NY's was pretty quiet here -- got the girls to bed and such (no complaining there ) and then got a dip in the pool -- (just got out. it's 50 degrees F here, and the pool was 90 -- what's not to like!!)
kim.
[edit: can't spell]
Alison:
I stepped out on the front porch at midnight to listen to
the fella next door serenade the neighborhood with
" the pipes" . Amid the crash & boom of fireworks one could imagine troops marching into battle.....it never fails to move me....and I'm German
