just reinstalled my S-shaped ducts for some heat for these winter months. i noticed im loosing torque. before.. i can go from 65mph to 90mph in a jiffy, now it takes a lot longer even with WOT grrrr
i do need a valve job, but is this normal when you put your heat stuff back on?

The heat exchanger to body ducting pieces.

they direct the air that is pouring out the open end of the h.e.. should have no effect on your power loss.

oops, senior moment. they direct the air coming form the cooling fan to the h/e.

oh, those!
i tought he was talking about the flex rubber part that goes from the flapper to the body ...
sorry, my bad ...
Andy
Unless you have the complete set up you can loose lots of air through the up right pipes. These are supposed to lead to the fan which has a flapper valve to prevent ait from going out of the blower defrost fan
ah, the driver side j-pipe is open. i'll look into capping that. thanks guys
if you don't have fan tubing on the j-tubes, 2" rubber pipe caps in the plumbing section of your local hardware store work great. they usually come with clamps too.

just bad luck, those parts have no bearing on how well your motor runs.....look for loose wires or something else you might have bumped....
