If you have the early (round) fog lights, and they are in reasonable shape, you probably want to keep them from getting pitted. They do offer some impact resistance, so cheap insurance if you are inclined.
$4.50 for a set of 2+ shipping and can be combined with other GBs.

As long as you have the film stock, why not make up sets for the 7" headlights too. You'll probably get 911 owners too.

It will soften with heat, but with standard wattage bulbs, it will not burst into flames if that's what you are worried about. A big rock hits your light, out out either way (this will offer a little protection just depends on the size of the rock), this is more to protect from abrasion.
