What are these custom cut washers for?
Have fun!
Hint: they are for installing my SIX.

Those are those washers that get too close to the 6 cylinder fan blades and get ground off by the spinning fan.
Ken
Nope, those washers are still down in the cylinder fins somewhere.
SAE machine-washers , for use on the nuts on the bellhousing studs, contoured for the 901 transaxle . C'mon give us smore clues...
Engine stud that holds on the starter ?
You need the special 911 barrel nut to make it easy.
914RS does not have any of those.
Yep!
The FOUR uses a bolt that goes through the starter hole.
The starter has a notch that holds the bolt from turning while you tighten/loosen the nut.
911, has engine studs. These washers will allow me to place a plain washer over the stud and tighten down a nut without any issues

I hope the bolt will push through more or you will barely catch one thread on the nut.
The pic is just for show and tell.
When the 911 engine stud pushes through, there is room for both cut washers, a regular washer, the nut and there is still room to hang my hat.

I guess the next game will have to be a little harder.
Share your cooler mod. when you get it back.
That was a good start , for your first. Game On
