Oh Miles, did you ditch Aaron's favorite ones, ya know, the ones with the flap in the back?

Roll the Twilight Zone theme ...

do do do
do do do do do do
do do do do

... you're now entering a parallel universe where Redshift is the fantasy and the reality, where quarters stand on edge and freeze-dried ice cream exists ... IPB Image

where Miles really lives and buys a house. Is this just a dream? or is it the dark side of the red planet? Be afraid, be very afraid ...

Welcome back Miles, there are pleanty of houses out here closer to the action. You did say you wanted to move back out here. Here is your chance to put your money where your mouth is.

Posted by: redshift Jan 4 2005, 07:05 PM

I'd rather put my money where my HOUSE IS.

IPB Image

I dunno where that is, but I'd imagine around 25 minutes from here..

After the ones I have seen, I think a moderate investment in some Vodka wouldn't be the worst idea either.

I looked for 6 months and got frustrated and quit looking...then one day I was driving through my neighborhood (now it is) and bam there it was....being auctioned off no less....strange things can happen.

I went through a couple weeks of thinking it out to all ends... and I decided that there is more to life than buying the perfect house, on X day, at Y time... I am 'interested'... that's all..

I was INSANE!!!!

I am looking for something particular... I can wait a while.

Hay Miles! Good luck with the house hunting. I bought one last summer, and it's a lot of work, but rewarding (sometimes anyway). What about that Toureg? Are you the owner of two VWs now?

Posted by: Seagrave Jan 5 2005, 03:14 PM

In '94 the Anzieger didn't have the fancy font. Not a bad rag at the time, good editor and good composition and format considering the money ORPCA put into it (not the cash cow like today). The cover photo was the one above with a white banner ANZIEGER above and a similar one below. Like you, my head got all swollen and I got a buncha copies. The framed one is in a box somewhere. I still have a loose copy of that month too (it was the 20th Anniversary of the 914). The rest were given away and probably recycled by relatives too polite to tell me that they didn't really give a rat's ass. It's cool though to see your car in a magazine. I'll betcha that every one who owns a car or a bike that has been featured, even if only in a local blurb, has lots of copies...some framed.

Yo M what it be!

Woo-ooooo buying a house is awesome, I've never been happier. Or broke-er.
Damn, now I've depressed myself........

Towrigs are too much money for me... I can't pull that trigger... yeesh. I need a truck thing though..

Uhhm... when the prices of property have risen to these dumb levels, exactly how do you make them wise up? I want one of these places out by the shop, but they are all speculators, to the nth degree, people who have seen the city moving toward them for years, and asking 2-3 times the actual values.

The kind of people I am talking about will either sell to me, or end up leaving the property to their next of kin... IPB Image ya know?

I am considering burning them out... IPB Image or just showing up with all my stuff, and acting like a relative. IPB Image

Let the air out of two of their tires....that way their house will lean to one side, and all of their Elvis figurines will fall off their shelves. IPB Image

Oh, whatever....I really just wanted to see my avatar IPB Image

happy hunting Miles!
