914World.com _ 914World Garage _ SIX Oil Cooler Mod

Posted by: Kerrys914 Jan 6 2005, 09:54 AM

Maybe we can get a better price from one of the guys doing this mod if we have 4-6 guys needing this done?

IIRC the everyday price from some of the good guys IPB Image were $115-$150.

I need this mod done anyone else?

I can talk to my welder and see what kinda break he'll give on multi-mods.

BTW, the $100 price does NOT include the AN 90 you provide. MY -16 90 was around $30.

Good to know. The prices I have received are with the fitting of your choice (AN or Metric)

Doesn't Rich Johnson do this mod for $125 choice of fitting? That seems like a pretty decent deal to me. IPB Image

Okay what fitting do we need? The side of the 90deg fitting that gets welded is to the oil cooler tube needs to be ID of ?

I dont know that off hand, I would have to get back to the shop and measure. Maybe someone here does.

Also I dont know who the cheapest is for fittings but if you can find the fitting at
http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/
I can go and pick it up in person as they are just down the road.

What about Root's method of just cutting off the fitting and slipping a hose and a clamp on the pipe? IPB Image Hey, if it works it works.
