Okay, never thought this one would present such a challenge when I bought the car... I've looked around and the OEM external mirrors available seem to be going in the buck fifty and up neighborhood,,, EACH!!! ouch, that hurt... 300 plus just to see where i've been? anybody got a line on some decent after market mirrors that'll work fine and look not entirely out of place? i'm new here, and hopefully someday i'll be able to do something besides ask questions... thanx for your time...
ron
btw,,, what a crummy avatar i have... need to do something about that too...

I've been using the Vitaloni baby toranados for years. They are slightly smaller than a 911 flag mirror and were in the $50 range for a long time. Unfortunately, Torino quit making the vitaloni mirrors and you have to find them on ebay or some still in stock. I thought I saw some on AA.

There's a lot of nice stuff out there..good luck

Jim,
Did you mean the Baby Turbo rather than Tornado? I think I've found the Turbos...

thanx, ron

mid 80's Fiord Escortze, seriously. $20.00 from a junk yard : tops, they really do look good and they have a cable operated remote adjuster. I'm sure several guys here have pics of a car with them right???

I just looked at the original PP ad; it's baby tornado. They are 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 glass and were $39.95 each .I'm replacing them with flag's this month.

The first 914 I ever rode in had no side mirrors; they only used the full width wink mirror.

Yup, mirrors from an SC (944 are similar, but the base is slightly different).

not sure what brand they are, ill check to see if there is any paperwork somewhere. They were aftermarket from a streetrod shop and they were the last ones available there since they no longer stocked that brand. My buddy w/ the 944 was already trying to steal them for his car..dangiT

i think you're safe on that one... my car's fixin' to sit on jack stands for a good while... it's the only way i can insure that it's just how i want it before driving it...
once again, thanx for your efforts...
