HI Michael - I sent those. The first one was pretty big - 3Mb. I sent an IM to McMark and he thought maybe the server timed out. The second was smaller (256k) but it did the same thing. Not sure what is happening - but it must be on my end.

whats the altitude difference from durango to Albq?

About 1600 feet if Durango is around 7000 ft, which I think it is. Rio Rancho averages around 5400 ft elevation. The drive up to the Jemez and into the Valle Grande caldera hits just under 10,000 ft at one point, I believe. In between Durango and Rio Rancho the elevation hits 6000-7000 for many miles around the continental divide. Rare air, but nothing a Durango car can't handle I would imagine.

Brant,

I can't test under load with this setup. I need to get a gauge in the cabin.

Numbers were pretty consistent sitting I the driveway.

11.5 at idle, 11.5 at 2000 rpm and about 11 at 3000. Again no load so not a real good test.

My house is at 6600'.

This motor was jetted at sea level where it was built and I haven't gotten around to re-jetting since it came to Durango.

Mike,

I don't think the numbers mean anything if the cars not under load

I have one of those same set ups
I tape the cable into the trunk channel and run it in the window with blue tape

that way you can set it between the seats and drive with it powered on
I have the innovate tail pipe tester that holds the o2 into the tail pipe
it does sometime fall out... not thrilled with it... but it works for testing

I do have a bung in the headers right before the muffler so that part would be solid. I might bring the afr with me. It is a borrowed unit so I am being very careful.

Been home since Friday. Decided not to tell the lab I am back yet. They don't expect me till next week. Last night it was 14 degrees again, so I am gonna work on the six. Indoors. Anodized an aluminum S caliper today and it is going into the chromate now. And pull the alternator on the 4 . A job I hate.

I meant to post this yesterday. In the spirit of the event we wore our event shirts and went to the local car show. The snow you see is over our heads in some places in the yard. It was 15 deg. above zero yesterday. Snow doesn't really melt very good at those temps.

Miss you guys... busy show schedule with LA and California Festival of Speed "and" Hershey all within a few weeks of each other. It kinda prevented any free time (and free money).

I was "this close" to packing Nikki in the car and heading down. Would have been a great Daddy Daughter trip.

So I get a text from my niece today. . . She and her husband were out and about in Vegas last night . . . She sees a nice looking green 914 and goes over to talk to the driver. (I have her trained well) . . . . . . . . turns out it was Jamie, passing through Vegas as planned on his journey home.

It was funny. She says my uncle has one of these. I say oh yeah what year. They say it's a really nice black one. I laugh when she says your name. I tell her I just saw you at route 66. It was very cool.

Holy crap I can't believe how much attention I have gotten this trip in my car. Every gas station, stop light or parking lot. I get compliments, thumbs up or catch people taking pics. Stopped at renegade hybrids & showed Steve my car. Also checked out cars they are working on. Man I need to work on my ls1 conversion

I was hoping I didn't forget anyone. I had to make sure I had a picture of each of them. The picture I had of Elvira at the Caldera was blurry so I had to use the one from the "Pit Stop".

I have more Route 66 t-shirts than any other including Team NARP T'S. Really miss this event and all of you guys. I guess I'll have to get to work on making a run there from the other West Coast.
