Is this one of those games where you have to spot the 20 things that are different between both photos?
I'll start.
Dog has moved.
Cars on left are re-arranged.
Wheels are different.
Wheels in driveway
Hydraulic Jack

Neighbor's garage is now full.
Where's the Blue Painter's tape?

Looking better. Now put a six in it!
On a side note....I have never seen a gate built to look like it is sliding downhill like your neighbors.

You didn't paint the seat adjustor handles .... they're chipped .... junk the car before it spreads.

Love the Mahle's. Best looking wheel for the 914!
Posted by: Qarl Apr 11 2014, 08:46 AM
Not to hijack... this is one of my old 914s... I'm a Mahle fan too!
Posted by: Ferg Apr 11 2014, 08:46 AM
On a side note, Discount was running a special on Kumho's.
Specifically the Solus expert KH20 that is being discontinued. 41 dollars a tire in 195/65/15 At that price is was not worth transferring the skinnys from the steelies.
Posted by: Ferg Apr 11 2014, 08:54 AM
Mahles are my favorite as well...
I had a set in full polish on my last big bumper car, wish I would have kept the wheels, they were perfect.

Where'd you find plaid duct tape?

I assume you mean on the seats... that is the grey foam underneath on the unfinished seat... PO did have some sort of carpet sample patch glued to that seat, it was the first thing I removed.

I have duct tape with flames on it. I was gonna mark a spot on the garage floor with it, but instead it is keeping air from blowing into the 47 dodge p.u. through the firewall where the 66 malibu V8 sticks through (I inherited it). Nice that they make different patterns and charge the same price for half as much.
But I digress. Great dog photos! Also the best wheels to have. Really nice car. My 76 doesn't look even half as nice. It was made up to look like a creamsicle. Gonna keep the front air dam, but it will probably go back to its native color. I like the 76s (made in 75 I think).

Seriously cool Siberian husky. Probably leaves hair all over the interior. J rust is selling an ensemble of gray interior in the classifieds. Looks like it would match the under coat of that husky perfectly....might be a better option that refinishing the seats ....
Nice looking car!

Tom, wow, that Mahle wheel looks great. Do you know what the color code is? Did you refinish it yourself or did you have someone do it?

Yes, they look good, I had them "Powder Coated" by a local shop exoticcoatings.com . I think they said it's a Mercedes/Ford/Etc. Silver Wheel Color. Standard cost is about $100 bucks + - each to blast & powder coat. I get a better price because Fred (owner) is a childhood friend.

Mark,
I got a great deal from some hermit living in PA Amish country that eats a whole "Shoo-Fly Pie" for breakfast every morning. He didn't know the value of Mahle's
???
Oh, Wait, it was you.

I got what I wanted out of them and glad they went to someone who could pretty them up. I even bought another set of mahle's recently but realized I wanted 2.0 Fuchs. So the Mahle's went bye-bye and Donald sold me his Fuchs. Actually, so will Sfrenck, so I plan to have one mirror polished and one oem anodized.

Tell me about it! Was just talking about this with the wife. All I will say is I plan on keeping it till I find something else
. I found "something" just waiting for current owner to make up her mind on selling... It's special, but inexpensive. I won't say what it is, but if it comes available, the 914 will have to go due to space issues.
I will say this. This car has changed my mind on yellow, it works on this car...
