I was with Mike when Howard said only 7 had registerd and we had more sponsors than entrants. We both said the exact same thing, "You're kidding". I could not believe all the input from everyone and then nobody sends in their registration? Come on everyone, get it going, there isnt that much time left and we still need to plan some more stuff based on numbers. I am probably the most broke person on here right now and mine is paid already. Of course I noticed that Howard still has all the checks there and has not deposited them.

Note to Howard, I am really crappy at banking, you may want to run that through while there is money in my account. IPB Image

Posted by: campbellcj Jan 16 2005, 09:37 PM

Not that anybody really cares, but I will "most likely" be there; however, it is very tough for me to commit to a multi-day schedule very far in advance. Those of you with small businesses, kids, and neverending honeydoo lists can probably relate.

I'll see if I can officially clear that weekend with the bosses and go ahead and register. IPB Image

I am hoping that if we keep doing these, someday there will be registration at the door, like the German Auto Fest for example. Signing up 4 months in advance is just too early for some of us.

my car is hiede ( mispelled on purpose )

i want to be there , and i am going to try

lets see 400 gas round trip ( 2800 miles each way ) plus 150 for "track fees" ( i know IPB Image ) plus hotel and food would work out to about 1200 bucks or half of what my car cost me. and that based on the 914 gas milage, if i had to drive the pathfinder the gas alone would be closer to 800

now i might have a line on free air w/ a stay at selected hotels, this offer comes from my tux rental place for my marriage to scotts tool wench in oct. but i know no more info than this on the tickets

but i want to come so maybe i should set up a marriage gift plan so you all can donate money for gas

ya first year in business, right off 1500 bucks for a trip to cali. like i will get a lot of electric work 2800 mile from home. can we say jail for tax fraud

BTW southwest airfare for 2 with cheapest tickets they offer works out to 886 with taxes and etc, or twice gas.

now there is a chance that a friend of teris might come along, and we could use her car and split gas but i am not banking on that, but then if the 914 is done it would not come along 3 people in a 914 for 2800 miles... not !

Posted by: Root_Werks Jan 18 2005, 10:50 AM

I don't want to commit just yet. My wife doesn't get her vacation until after WCC05 so it is making it tough. We didn't make it last year (we got married) so I figured we would make it this year. But the timing could be off. We both wanna go though. IPB Image

On the other hand, it just means there will be more track time and give aways for the ones that do come. IPB Image

Now boys, if you don't behave I'm gonna have to turn this car around, go straight home and wash out your mouths.

But, but......we're just warming up for the "Zits and Shits Little House of Horrors" and you promised to take us to Disneyland.

Anything starting with a "Los" puts you in So-Cal range by default. IPB Image

Jen

I guess that makes the cutoff point between nor-cal and so-cal Los Molinos. Welcome to so-cal! IPB Image

I'm planning on being there, but I have to wait to sign up. I finally got the last of my parts on Tuesday for starting to reassemble my engine, but I've also got to fix the clutch tube and move the fuel pump before it's ready to go on the road. I'm really sweating whether I can get it done in time.

I'm also facing the fact that my father-in-law is under hospice care in Phoenix and there is no way to know how much longer he will be with us. He has a rapid-progression dimentia known as Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. A lot of weekends are being spent in Phoenix instead of at home working on the teener. Depending upon how it goes with him I may not be able to come at all.

I'd hate to send in the form and then not be able to come, or would you rather have the form anyway?

OK, promise to do a list of all the entrants so far this weekend. Damn day job is killing me IPB Image

But wanted to share this bit of understatement from an entry form received today:

Modifications: 1974 Stock. Except for 3.6, 915, 993TT brakes, carbon fiber lids, and steel flares IPB Image

Thanks for the chuckles, siverson. This will put you in A Stock against the 1.7's.
