How were you thinking of going about fabbing the opening?

Scotty b will be the one to fab it. Cut, shape, weld, grind, ect. Not sure if I will chrome or go satin black. Probably black.

Scotty will likely be doing two of those.....just saying

No fabbing to it. Drill out the corners so you end up with a nice radius in the corners. Takes about 10 min's to cut, file and smooth the edges.

Did one a few months ago that turned out really well, but it's still at the chrome shop. Just cutting the open is much easier and works well, but actually welding in 'walls' finishes up the look and guides more air to the cooler.

You can buy a fiberglass one and find a local shop that does spray chrome. Like Spectra Chrome. It is a silver nitrate finish and when done well looks just like chrome.

That was one of my first choices, that way I can keep what I have, which is fiberglass. One less hassle.
If that's all your going to cut out, don't even bother... waste of a good chrome bumper and you'll lose accident protection. The front of the car is a high pressure area, air will go wherever it can. It does NOT need to be a visibly direct route.
