I wont know until probably Mon if I have that/those days off in Aug (I would not count on it, they always work me part of a weekend). Cant wait to start my new job so that I can do stuff and have vacation time

Yes. I'll do cake. Thanks for having the party. Always a great time!

Missing it by one day- I'm driving up to Md. from Ga. on Sunday after flying out from SLC on Thursday. Frederick is my home town and I'd look forward to putting faces with names on the screen, but not this time 'round. Crap...

Count me (and "The Lil Bastard") in this year! And Dr, I got a spare room for ya if you can make it (pick up Gregs cores at the same time!). David
Posted by: Dr Evil Jul 20 2014, 11:32 PM
David, I stay at Matts, he is family But, thanks!
Greg wants too much for his cores as I can buy larger bunches for less per box. Oh well.
I just got my schedule and I work that whole weekend I may see if I can switch, but that may make it so I am working a lot of days in a row. Lemme see.
Posted by: BeatNavy Jul 21 2014, 06:42 AM
Well, if Newbies are welcome I may have to swing by (will there be any newbie initiations or hazing involving paddles?). I need to see if that's a weekend I'm at my in-laws 'on da shore,' but if I am in town and can make it I'll confirm with you Matt and see what I can bring.
It would be good to finally meet others that are afflicted. You more experienced members can tell me what I'm doing wrong on my teener and what I'm doing right (if anything).
Thanks

Bummer dood We all would have liked to have seen ya, but your life is a beast right now so everyone understands. Btw, Greg is going to have me handle the liquidation of his parts stash. I've come up with about 11k of inventory. It's quite extensive with a few very rare items. I'll be making it public soon. Where are ya'll moving too? Good luck with the sale of the house Lemme know if ya need any help when it comes time to move k? D

Haven't been on the site in a while, just checked in to find this. Unfortunately I don't think I can make it. Kids schedules and plans with my brother on the 16th.
Bummed! This is always a great time and I'd love to show off my fresh 2056 build... the scenic drive up Rt 15 is a nice bonus, too!! (Anyone driving up from NoVA in a 914, don't you dare take boring ol' 270...)

Wonder if I can get the 356 running...hasn't run all year.
Finally got the furniture and carpet tile pallet out from behind it, so it can actually exit the garage!
We'll see what home tasks are left over, but it's possible I can come now.

So, Matt, Are we going do that thing like we did last year, where we throw our car keys in a bowl and go home with a different car for the year (or at least when we come back for the next picnic. Might be a couple of years if the car is really new/nice.)?

Cool. So now would be a good time to mention my brother was USNA class of '74. IIRC there were three years straight that NAVY outscored ARMY 100-0, i.e. didn't allow a touchdown.. ok. I shouldn't high jack my own thread. See you in a week. BTW - Family is welcome to this event.

Bo - I thought you wrote throw the keys into the POOL. in all fairness we're skipping that tradition this year for I would toss in the Hyundai keys.

Jim, thanks for the photo's to display who arrived. We successfully pulled off another "picnic". Not too many folks took a dip in the pool or Hot Tubb. Thanks Scotty for the help sprucing up the yard and installing new tan carpet in my 914, and to Zach for letting us take a test drive in his non-Porsche Subie WrX. I enjoy hosting this event - the intent is to get ua all together and include ou364r families who support or tolerate our passion for these NARPs. 364 days until #8 in Aug 2015

Thanks Matt! I enjoyed parking on the 914 side this year. 250 mile roundtrip was especially nice driving home in the cool night air. Had to bug out quickly with a headache but the drugs you gave me helped.

Matt and Katherine, great show....as it is every year! Thank you so much for hosting. Seeing the 914 crowd at your place each year is so very special. So what's this with the water bottle????? Happened after I arrived.

So what's this with the water bottle?????
Seems that scotty b, plas76targa and Vacca Rabite were working on Matts car and dropped the barrel bolt for the throttle cable connection to the throttle. They looked for it for a long time and couldn't find it. I found it and gave it to Katherine to say she "found this thing in the beer cooler and is it important?" kinda joke. So she put it in "the water bottle how'd it get THERE!?" kinda joke.

Damn, I am sorry I missed it this year. I have been on almost radio silence this summer due to my job and I didn't see this until TOO LATE!!! *Sniff*
