W engine code was used on 914 and bus engines. Bus engines have the dip stick in a different location. Probably a 1.7 case built into a 2.0 l.
Dies it have 2.0 heads?
W code was 914 and 411/412 1.7L engines from 70-71 no bus engines are W code.
yes this all seems to be true. So it is a 914 motor...high compression so maybe heads are different.
Here is what I see at thesamba. Now if i can narrow down if this is a 70 or 71. It may be the original motor...
