A few things:
- Obviously, it's *not* a 916 as stated in the Ad.
- The car was never raced by Porsche. It was only used for testing.
- It is also *not* build in 1969, the build date should be 03/70 or 04/70.

but it was raced by the 2nd owner (mostly hillclimb events) and the 3rd owner (mostly historic race events)

Hence why i said "The car was never raced by
Porsche".
It is important to make the distinction between a car raced by the factory and a car raced by private owners.

The first car i know that has a confirmed build date of 01/70 is 914.043.0137.
That is 846 cars before 914.043.0983. There is no way 0983 was build in 1969.

of course I know what you wanna say, Andy
but this one was raced by Porsche ... just not in an official race
they raced it as a test car for the 1970 Marathon de la Route
it is a factory built Wekrs-914-6 GT that just didn't made it into an official entry list of a race

I have a copy of the kraftfahrzeugbreif for this car at home I will check the build date.
I think I have a race listing for this car while under Porsche ownership, I will check.

You either test it or race it, which one is it?
The car never made it past practice, which isn't a race ...
