914World.com _ 914World Garage _ where do i buy battery mat , at ?

Posted by: thelogo Aug 11 2014, 10:38 AM

Replaceing the optoma with a acid batt .

But I insist on useing a bat mat before I swap em out

Not having any luck finding them ,amazon .com has em but that's is it

Any suggestions as I would prefer to buy in store as opposed to order .

The guy at innerstate was like we don't sell those ,like I was asking
To buy the cup of Christ aka holly grail.and all flaps stores don't have em either

WTF.gif WTF.gif

I told him you could be making some money and selling one with every battery
But I just got the crazy person look from him .

Plase advise ??????????????????

Bought one from Pelican a year ago.

those mats are not an install and forget it. in time the acids will accumulate, the mat will become acid infused, and really attack the bat mount. treat any current rust with a converter, paint, and a simple dusting of baking soda will help keep the acid at bay.

I am unclear, except for the "original" appearance, why one would not use one of the newer sealed batteries? I don't ever want to open the engine lid and see battery corrosion again in my car -once it has a battery back in it. What am I missing?

the side posts won't be a problem if you leave the plastic side caps/plugs in place.

Posted by: thelogo Aug 14 2014, 08:16 AM

Actually I need to use the side post as my cables will not reach top side

Looks ok but are kinda close together compaared to the red top
