Coulda' been nice. Just a bit over the top for me. I bet it smells nice inside? laugh.gif

I like the leatherwork.

Posted by: Pursang Aug 14 2014, 12:31 AM

Not really my style but, like they used to say, "to each his own."

Posted by: dudzy's914 Aug 14 2014, 02:31 AM

I could do without the branding and the exterior leather. But otherwise I really like it.

Posted by: Cuda911 Aug 14 2014, 02:46 AM

Far too pimpy for me. And, the leather work isn't even very good. For example, look at this crappy stitching around the ash tray:

They lost me at that point too. That, and the leather in the wheels.

The front trunk looks good, but did you see the leather battery cover?

Love the BRMs, 1st one I have seen with BRMs except mine. Not too crazy about the leather on the outside but then again its not my car. piratenanner.gif

I'd have been impressed if it were alligator or ostrich, but cowhide? Gimme a break!

Oh, jeez, missed that.... thought the vanes were painted. Eeergggh... leather!

Toolguy: "Raises the bar for the shops in Tijuana": Ya got that right!!

I have often thought about finishing the front and rear trunks in a vinyl.

Good someone else did it and saved me the work.

not what I would like...

they did cross a line at some point and could not stop....like a drunk.
not that I would know anything about that...

Posted by: 7TPorsh Aug 14 2014, 04:05 PM

is it me or is the rain tray leather too....whooooosh

Posted by: PanelBilly Aug 14 2014, 04:15 PM

I like the idea of doing something in the front and back trunk, but what I saw here was too much.

Is that a real 916 front end?

A little over the top for me taste.

Posted by: wndsnd Aug 14 2014, 07:28 PM

blink.gif I think it may be. blink.gif Looking at the video again that doesn't look like fiberglass ripples or bad bodywork. Way to big and lumpy. Weren't the real ones made from that malleable rubbery-ish substance like the 70's Corvette bumpers confused24.gif

Posted by: Black22 Aug 14 2014, 09:08 PM

Anyone notice the scoop on the sail panel? Cold air induction? confused24.gif

The only part I like is the black leather on the dash face (radio, glove box). I could live with the rear trunk too, but that's pushing it. barf.gif
