Yeah a "Jack Raby" powered engine.....
I wonder if he is related to Jake?

Posted by: colingreene Sep 1 2014, 09:20 PM

Maybe he has better manners....

Or for you oldies: Jack Ruby.

I've seen that car, at road atlanta where some of those pics were taken. It looks like a very nice car.

Yesterday it read "Jack". Somebody must have told Jack, who was horrified he was being confused with "Jake", and insisted they correct it. Immediately. On Labor Day evening even, so he must have been REALLY upset.

the writer of the text at bat sure likes to pick at nits. speaker covers are TOO shiny and he would prefer sail panel trim? among other insignificant matters...

So apparently the seller reads this forum.....

That car has my first Twin Tip EVO II Silencer on it.

From one of the comments, "After many 914s, a 914/6 or two, and even a spec-build twin-turbo 916 I can attest they are one of the most well balanced cars of the period."

Evidently you can't turbo a 914 but you can twin turbo a 916. blink.gif

Belonged to a guy name Michael, can't recall his last name. I would run into him at PCA AX events. Very nice car, no expense spared.

Have you seen the speakers? They're the large hideous Sony (?) silver spider-looking things, hacked into the doors. I'd pull them out before even putting gas in the car.

Of course, if those things are all the writer can find that he'd change, I think he's complimenting the car.

BTW, the "Jack" error was pointed out in the comments of that entry long before this post showed up here. I'd bet that's why the post was corrected.

That appears to be a clean, well-built car. It would be nice to see a lot more pictures of the car though. Though I personally am not a fan of the 916 bumpers, the car does looks good.

I am under the impression that Jake "hisself" is the current owner of this car.

That's what I thought, but a recent post by Mike on Facebook made me think otherwise.
