914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 914World members attending Okteenerfest - PICTURES PLEASE!

with nearly 50 914's showing up for Okteenerfest, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone is bringing, or at least the state of their car that they can't bring.
You've all seen enough pictures of Huey.... but what else will we all see??
PICTURES PLEASE!!

This is what I hope to be bringing... If it doesn't blow up before then. My car doesn't have the greatest reputation for making these events.

Believe me, if you bring it/drag it - they will fix it!
Broken cars are a wonderful opportunity for a couple of the experts to work on it, while everybody else sits around watching, cussing, and discussing. We like to call them "Impromptu 914 Clinics".

Yeah, there is Huey, stopping for refreshment. Hope the rack is tight after all.
Here we come.
More or less in line...
It's a 1976! Made at the end of 1975. Donna and I were married in '76, so it should suit us. Except she likes some amenities.

This is my '75 crossing the Alps at Simplon Pass going from Switzerland into Italy from 2012 Eurotour. Don't think there's been a GA license plate on this route since.

Nice looking Creamer! Are those wheel lips polished?
I'm not sure how the wheel lips originally came from the factory - polished, brushed metal, or painted (silver). Anybody know for sure? Jeff?

There she is, almost the last one still at work.
Time to head home, fill her up with gas and wash and spruce up a bit. This is the paint color: PLAIN RED, if you were wondering. Old, old paint, but a nice engine and sound body. New tires and new "fake" sail vinyl this week and that is about a pretty as she gets.
I think she will make it the 500 miles I need her to this weekend..... 150 at a time.

Clark you will love every mile and you have a huge number of people that will be there to help. You have not seen a master mechanic at work until you have seen Louis do his parking lot clutch cable change.
Looking forward to having both our cars together and driving at the same time?
